A couple of things 30 Nov 09
I got a few questions by email. Mainly about publishing track listings and how I make the mixes.
So, yes I will be publishing track listings. I just need to re-listen to the mix and write it all down and that takes a bit of effort.
As far as how the mixes are done, I just use a couple of SL1200 decks, a mixer and Serato Scratchlive as a source. No ableton or other digital mixing gizmos, which should be pretty obvious from all the "manual" mistakes in the sets. I don't play it safe and prepare the mixes, just get behind the decks and see where it takes me, which can produce good things and bad things but that's how it happens live so I might as well show it as it is.

I was bored last night, had nothing left to do after counting my navel fluff collection for the third time, so I got behind the decks and, after 90 minutes, emerged what might be called a DJ mix in some sorry circles. This one's called Jacobson's Organ Party.

Yes, I finally setup things again so I can record off the mixer/decks. It's not ideal but the sound does (barely) reach the computer, albeit a little off balance. Also: I just saw flying monkeys behind me.
So here's a little mix I quickly threw together this afternoon. It's called Breakfast of Champignons.
